Within three to five years of obtaining a bachelor’s degree in Automation and Control at Kazakh-British Technical University, we expect our graduates to achieve all or most of the following milestones in that they will be:
1. experienced and technically competent engineers in the field of Automation and Control with a solid foundation in engineering and technology which will enable them to apply a range of different approaches to problem analysis and synthesis as well as
different solution strategies in tackling complex technical problems in the industry;
2. competent, committed and capable members and leaders of system design, development and engineering teams, capable of functioning independently, professionally and effectively as they apply the conceptual knowledge and engineering skills gained
during their stints at KBTU as well as later on in their careers in various automation and control related projects in their respective workplaces;
3. technology pioneers and change agents as they apply their conceptual knowledge and engineering skills not only to design, develop and deploy state of the art automation and control related tools, techniques and technologies but also to catalyze change in the workplace and in the economy at large;
4. lifelong learners who in a formal sense will go on to enroll in, and successfully graduate from, more advanced graduate and professional education and certification programs that are nationally and/or internationally recognized in engineering, science or business, and who, more informally, are and will remain wise enough to diagnose, analyze and remedy the gaps or deficits in their own knowledge bases over time by gleaning what they can from the environment on their own.

The specialty automation and control prepares specialists in the design and construction of automation devices and computer systems. The educational program includes the study of equipment, hardware and software, communications and interactions between them. The program focuses on the theories, principles and practices of traditional electrical engineering and mathematics and applies them to the problems of designing automation and computer devices. ǿý will also learn software engineering, including software for digital devices and their interfaces with users and other devices.
Starting from the 4th semester, the student can choose different educational trajectories, regardless of the specialty. To this end, each student is given the opportunity to take 6 elective subjects in the following areas of ICT:

Purpose of the program:
The aim of the program is the formation of theoretical and practical knowledge for the development, maintenance and operational activities in the field of automatic and automated systems, means of data transmission and information flows, diagnostics, monitoring and control.
Objectives of the program:
The program aims to prepare and teach students:
- Apply knowledge of mathematics, science and engineering fundamentals to solve complex engineering problems;
- Analyze, identify and formulate engineering problems. Draw informed conclusions using the first principles of mathematics, science and technology;
- Design / develop solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet specified needs;
- Understand electrical and electronic devices / tools for circuit design and real-time problem solving;

Program description:
Information systems specialists trained in this specialty focus on integrating information technology solutions and business processes to meet the information needs of businesses and other enterprises, which allows them to efficiently and effectively carry out their tasks. This specialty considers technology as a tool for generating, processing and disseminating information. The educational program will teach you how to program, work with information provided by computer systems to help an enterprise in defining and achieving its goals, and processes that the enterprise can implement or improve with the help of information technology.

The program aims to prepare and teach students:
- Understand the technical foundations and principles of computer science and the interaction between theory and practice. Understand the essential connections between them;
- Conduct system-level assessments to capture an understanding of the structure of computer systems and the processes involved in their design, construction and analysis. Recognize the context in which a computer system can function, including its interaction with humans and the physical world;
- Understand how to apply the knowledge gained to solve real-life problems. Design and improve the system based on a quantitative and qualitative assessment of its functionality, usability and performance, realizing that there are many solutions to a given problem and that choosing among them is not a purely technical task;

The IT Management program (hereinafter referred to as "ITM"), according to today's statistics, is the most popular ICT program in universities in Kazakhstan and aims to train leading technical specialists, qualified developers and architects of information systems, software quality managers for information systems and processes. its development and maintenance. The School of Information Technology and engineering offers a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in ITM. This bachelor's degree program provides instruction in broad skills such as an introduction to information management, services and technology combined with a combination of disciplines from the humanities and sciences. ǿý learn the most effective ways to find information, assess people's needs for technology, and design and manage systems.

Employment prospects are a consequence of the application of ICT in almost all areas of human activity. Program description:
The "Robotics and Mechatronics" program (hereinafter - R&M), according to the trend of robotization of industrial processes around the world, the demand for which is growing annually in the industrial and domestic sectors both in Kazakhstan and around the world. Bachelor in the direction of "Robotics and Mechatronics" has the appropriate training for the following types of professional activities: research activities; production and design and technological activities; organizational and managerial activity. Specific types of professional activity, for which, basically, a bachelor is preparing, is determined by the educational organization together with students, scientific and pedagogical workers and employers.
The high demand for graduates among employers, their positive feedback on the quality of education at KBTU are the main factors that help attract talented applicants. The field of activity of the graduate after graduation is the development and research of robotic systems and their use in solving industrial problems of various levels.
The educational program provides for the study of the basics of electrical engineering and electronics, the calculation of direct and inverse kinematics of robots, the integration of industrial robots with electronic components and control using programmable logic controllers. ǿý students gain in-depth knowledge of industrial robot programming and trajectory planning methods in both 2D and 3D. All theoretical knowledge of students is fixed by practical experience. Moreover, student research can be used in the research and design activities of the university laboratories.
Also, this educational program provides an opportunity to master theoretical and practical knowledge in the accompanying basic discipline “Mathematical analysis” and develop the skills of integrating industrial robots and high-precision 3D scanners.
A distinctive feature of this program is that graduates, in addition to mastering a rich technical base, also get the opportunity to implement the received base in the laboratories of KBTU and in industrial companies.
Educational trajectories are proposed by companies - members of the Industrial Committee of the School and are reviewed annually depending on the needs of the market.

Program goal:
The purpose of the educational program is to train highly professional specialists in the field of robotics, which is focused on building cyber-physical and smart systems in industry, intelligent and autonomous transport systems in the form of autonomous robots, and teaching computer-aided design, manufacturing, principles of electrical engineering and electronics in combination with robotics courses and production.
Career prospects:
Graduates of the educational program R&M can work in a variety of areas related to ICT, as a development engineer, electronic engineer, service engineer in robotics, teacher in the direction of "Robotics and Mechatronics", electrical engineer, programmer in robotics, 3D specialist.
