Building on the achievements of 20 years of history, we strive to continue our development in the region and become one of the leading universities in Central Asia. Our main goal is to support the scientific, industrial and economic development of Kazakhstan and the region by releasing highly qualified specialists to solve scientific and industrial problems.
We are building a bridge of knowledge between society and science, between Kazakhstan and the whole world in areas such as engineering, technology and business. This is a big challenge for us, but we are confident in our strengths and capabilities, working with various stakeholders such as government agencies, scientific organizations, industrial enterprises and business structures. Our interests cover other areas of activity as well. We conduct a dialogue with local and international partners, conduct joint research, exchange experience and knowledge. An innovative and creative approach is a priority for KBTU, therefore our projects differ in concept and solve various problems for the benefit of society, the development of science and technology, and personnel training.
To become the center of innovation for the entire Central Asian region, we are constantly improving the educational program with enterprises from various industries. The KBTU Advisory Council includes top managers of leading international and Kazakhstani companies, and the Industrial Committees of the faculties consist of experts, whose participation and contribution to our educational programs make them high quality and relevant, which has a positive effect on the employability of graduates. All of the above makes the university attractive for both Kazakh and foreign students.
The system of bachelors’, masters’ and PhD doctors’ education at KBTU meets international quality standards, which is confirmed by reputable international accreditation agencies such as IQAA, ABET, ACBSP, KazSEE. Several educational programs have professional accreditations as CFA, CIMA, ACCA, etc.
We can say with confidence that the university keeps up with global trends in the field of education in order to ensure the competitiveness of graduates in both local and global labor markets. Maintaining a high level of employment of graduates (more than 90%), the educational programs of the university are annually included in the top of the best according to the rating of NCE "Atameken".
All KBTU graduates easily find work after graduation or continue their studies on master's and doctoral programs. Our graduates work in leading international IT companies in Silicon Valley and in the oil and gas industry, in leading international companies.
We are proud of our highly qualified teaching staff, including world-renowned scientists, personnel from the UK, Australia, USA, India, Turkey. KBTU has a modern infrastructure and laboratories, conditions have been created for students and researchers to work on innovative projects.
KBTU cooperates with the best universities of the world, including the University of London, Harvard Business School, St Etien Ecole des Mines (France), Loughborough University, Manchester University, ECU, Politechnico de Turino, UTP Malasiya and many others.
Much attention is paid to the opening of joint laboratories in topical areas of the oil and gas industry, process automation, training of specialists in the maritime industry and information technology with partners of the university Eni Agip Karachaganak, Total E&P, Schlumberger, Fraunghofer Institute of Automation, Chevron, NCOC, Micromine, Honeywell, Emerson, Baker Hughes, Halyk Bank, Yandex.
In addition, we cooperate with Erasmus, Bolashak, British Kazakh Society, SPE. In recent years, there has been a positive growth in the contingent of foreign students.
