Goals

The main goal of the project is to model the history of sedimentary basins and restore sedimentation conditions in the Caspian sedimentary basin. The project aims to create geological models and structural maps to identify potential oil and gas bearing structures and develop recommendations for further research and improving the efficiency of oil production.

Ìý

Main directions

1.ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý Construction of a basin model of the Caspian sedimentary basin, considering the conditions of sedimentation.

2.ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý Modeling of structural features of suprasalt and subsalt complexes, including creating structural maps of the main reflecting boundaries.

3.ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý Typification and identification of potential oil and gas traps, analysis of reservoir rocks ' filtration and capacity properties.

4.ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý Develop recommendations for further research, including exploration drilling at promising structures.

Ìý

Developments

  • Sedimentation conditions were simulated using Schlumberger's PetroMod and Petrel software от Schlumberger.
  • Geological models of the structures of the suprasalt complex and structural maps of the main reflecting boundaries of the subsalt complex are constructed.
  • Digital structural maps for selected potential oil and gas traps with their typification have been developed.
  • Based on the constructed structural maps, geological modeling was carried out, and promising zones in the suprasalt complex were identified.
  • Correlation schemes were created for the main oil and gas bearing zones, and stratigraphic divisions were linked based on data from geophysical studies and core analysis.
  • Based on studies of reservoir filtration and capacity properties, recommendations are given for the use of enhanced oil recovery technologies.

Ìý

Material and technical equipment

  • Software: PetroMod and Petrel (Schlumberger) are used for data modeling and analysis.
  • Database: A database has been created for processing and interpreting well geophysical data in the Petrel environment.
  • Data preparation and digitization: Prepare and digitize historical data, including seismic data, structural maps, and GIS data, for inclusion in the project database.

Ìý

Conclusion

As a result of the project, scientific articles will be published, as well as recommendations for further research and enhanced oil recovery in promising structures of the Caspian sedimentary basin.
