ABET is a non-governmental organization that accredits post-secondary education programs in applied and natural science, computing, engineering and engineering technology.
Kazakh-British Technical University became the first Kazakh university to receive international accreditation in the United States for computer specialties. The most authoritative American accreditation agency ABET has officially confirmed KBTU's accreditation in the following computer-related programs: Information Systems, Automation and Control, and Computer Systems and Software. Recognition by ABET means meeting the US quality standard for professional training.

The Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs is a U.S. organization offering accreditation services to business programs focused on teaching and learning. The Business School is awarded the prestigious international accreditation, ACBSP ( Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs ).

The non-governmental organization听"Independent Agency for Quality Assurance in Education"听(hereinafter - the Agency) is a nonprofit organization established to improve the quality of education and competitiveness of Kazakhstani and foreign educational institutions; to provide information to stakeholders in Kazakhstan and abroad regarding the excellence of particular educational organizations.

The main mission听of IQAA is to contribute to improvement of quality of education, to increase competitiveness of educational institutions at national and international levels and to promote a quality culture in educational organizations and public consciousness.

The activities of educational institutions are being improved through the use of the following means:

- development of systems and processes for quality assurance of secondary, technical and vocational, higher and post-graduate education in accordance with the European and international standards;

- dissemination of best international practice in the field of quality assurance of the activities of educational institutions;

- formation and development of a quality culture in the system of education;

- facilitation in the enhancement of effectiveness and sustainability of educational institutions in education and research activities through the services provided by the Agency.
