On July 13, 2025, the nationwide grant application week officially began in Kazakhstan. This period is a crucial opportunity for school and college graduates to submit documents and compete for state educational grants.
Kazakh-British Technical University (KBTU), staying true to its tradition, was among the first universities to open its doors to prospective students. The university’s admissions office began operating at 8:30 AM - well before the national online systems were launched.

Applicants Lined Up Early in the Morning
According to the KBTU admissions office, prospective students began gathering in front of the university as early as 7:00 AM. Seeing this level of interest, Secretary of the Admissions Committee Abdulahat Ismailov stated that they decided to start working ahead of schedule to accommodate the early arrivals.

Over 350 Applicants on the First Day
On the opening day alone, more than 350 applicants visited the university to submit their documents. The process follows a "one-stop-shop" format: applicants can complete all the necessary steps - registration, consultation, and document submission - in a single location. Individual consultations on programs and admissions rules are also provided.

Welcome Gifts for Early Birds

To mark the occasion, the first three applicants who submitted their documents were given branded gift sets from KBTU - a gesture that reflects the university’s personal approach to each applicant.

Digital Submission in Focus

KBTU developed its own online admissions platform, integrated with the national eGov.kz system, to streamline the process. According to Deputy Secretary of the Admissions Committee Asel Zhumaseitova, the majority of applicants are choosing the online format this year. This shift not only reduces waiting times but also makes the overall process more convenient.

KBTU - The Choice of Ambitious Applicants

KBTU is one of the leading technical universities in Kazakhstan. Its programs in IT, oil and gas engineering, finance, chemical technology, and business are especially popular. ǿ޴ý benefit not only from high-quality academic education but also from opportunities for internships, research, industry collaboration, and dual-degree programs with international universities.

The document submission process will continue throughout the week, in line with the official schedule of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education. KBTU has confirmed that its team is fully prepared to support applicants - both in person and online - ensuring a smooth, transparent, and applicant-friendly experience.
