Programs

{spoiler=6B07113 Engineering physics and technologies of new materials (by directions) }

Duration of training in the specialty: 4 years

Academic degree: Bachelor of Engineering and Technology

The language of instruction is English

Goals, objectives: The purpose of this program is to train qualified specialists in the field of materials science and technologies of new materials in demand at enterprises of the mining, engineering and manufacturing industries with knowledge in the development and modification of modern functional macro- and nanoscale materials, methods of materials diagnostics, software for modeling the properties of materials.

Timing and complexity of the program

The duration of the program is 4 years, taking into account: the development of at least 240 credits of the theoretical course of study (including the general education disciplines cycle, the basic disciplines cycle, the profile disciplines cycle, additional types of training and final certification), the passage of introductory, industrial practice and dual training; preparation and defense of a thesis (project) and passing a comprehensive exam.

Advantages of the program

According to this educational program, there is a unique opportunity to develop managerial, professional and research competencies due to the presence of an extensive material and technical base and the integration of science and education in KBTU.

The educational program provides for the study of physico-chemical, as well as mechanical methods of synthesis, processing of materials, methods of modification of the surface of materials, nanotechnology, as well as mechanical and structural-phase studies of the properties of materials. Bachelors gain in-depth knowledge of the physical foundations of materials synthesis and processing technologies, materials science, and the properties of materials, in particular, for energy.

Also, this educational program provides an opportunity to master theoretical and practical knowledge in the basic course of materials science on the creation of materials for alternative, oil and gas energy, as well as knowledge based on corrosion prevention and testing of anticorrosive materials on modern equipment and devices.

A distinctive feature of this program is that graduates, in addition to acquiring fundamental knowledge and technical skills, also gain knowledge in management, which allows them to work successfully in the field of management.
