On November 29-30 the XI Eurasian Olympics on computer science among school students took place based on Kazakh-British Technical University.
The tournament gathered 56 best teams from Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan.
The main goal of the Olympics arranged by the RSPC “Daryn” and Saint-Petersburg National Research University of Information technologies, Mechanics and Optics, is the formation of the students’ information competence, development of the students’ information culture, identifying talented youth in the sphere of computational sciences, computer modeling and information technologies.
Based on the results of the Olympics the students of Lyceum “Bilim-Innovation” for talented boys, Alikhan Abikhas and Rustem Khasanov were awarded with the diplomas of the 1st degree, and also became the holders of KBTU educational grants (100%).
