On June 25, the 7th meeting of the Advisory Board of the Kazakh-British Technical University took place. The meeting was held in a combined format, which made it possible to unite participants from all over the country for one common goal - to exchange experiences and opinions on improving higher education and promoting science.
Acting Rector Gabdullin M.T. addressed the members of the Advisory Board with a welcoming speech, and also announced the transfer of the former rector of KBTU Ibrashev K.N. to the post of General Director of the KAZENERGY Association. The colossal contribution of K.N. Ibrashev in the development of the university, the oil and gas industry of the country was noted. In connection with the promotion of the current chairman of the CC, Nikolo Agogeri, in Eni, Kenzhebek Niyazovich was nominated and unanimously approved for this position in the Advisory Board. Kenzhebek Niyazovich expressed gratitude for the trust and noted the readiness to work with the leaders of KBTU to strengthen ties between the industry and the university.
At the meeting, the results of the 2020-2021 academic year and KBTU's plans for the new academic year were announced. Vice-rector for academic affairs Dzhumaseitova A.K. noted the main activities of KBTU and the progress achieved in the framework of online learning.
Regional Director of the QS Company Khristolyubov S.V. noted the worthy reputation of KBTU among employing organizations and academic circles based on the results of surveys by the QS World University Rankings.
The Chairman of the IC FIT S. Abdigaliev and acting Chairman of the IC FGGE Abirov Zh. performed.
The President of the Alumni Association M. Dyusembayev spoke about the KBTU ALUMNI activities.
Zh.M. Tarenova, Managing Director for Continuing Education and Business Development, sspoke about successfully implemented joint projects.
Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Information Technologies Bisembaev A.S. reported on projects in the IT sphere.
Summing up the results of the meeting, Maratbek Tulebergenovich presented letters of appreciation to KBTU partners.
Chairman of the Advisory Board Ibrashev K.N. express gratitude to the members of the Advisory Board for their participation and approved the date of the next meeting for September 24, 2021.
After the meeting of the Advisory Board, the guests took part in the planting of the Time Capsule and the solemn ceremony of presenting diplomas to the graduates of 2021.
